The headlamps are a pair of automotive driving/fog auxiliary lights that have had their stock 55 watt MR-16 halogen lamps replaced with 20 watt lamps.
The upper light has a narrow angle spot type lens, which performs as a "high-beam."
The lower light is fitted with a wide angle flood type lens for normal "low-beam" conditions.
A double throw toggle switch selects between "hi-beam" and low-beam." The system is not wired to permit both lamps to be on at the same time.
